Unguja Lodge is a small luxury hide-away enjoying a private beach location in Kizimkazi on the southern tip of Zanzibar.
Each of the 10 spacious villas is crafted and furnished in Zanzibar style and includes a second floor bedroom with a private terrace.
The 7 Sea view villas have breathtaking views across the ocean whereas the 3 Baobab villas, with air conditioning and own plunge pools, are oriented towards the garden with several big baobab trees. These offer sea views from the upstairs terrace.
The lush and tropical garden with old mango and baobab trees is home to many indigenous animals including the rare Red Colobus monkey.
The hotel, restaurant, swimming pool and water activities are integrated in the local environment.
The beach is accessible both from the lodge and also by a small nature trail (about 50 m) that takes you down to a small permanent beach.
Unjuga Lodge offers you a whole range of beach and resort activities including diving, snorkelling, dolphin and humpback whale watching, fishing, dhow excursions with picnics as well as exploring the culture and history of the Island.
