Tortilis Camp
Tortilis Camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and is situated in one of Amboseli's areas of Acacia Tortilis woodland, with the majestic backdrop of Africa's highest mountain, and the world's highest free-standing mountain, snow-capped Kilimanjaro.
The spacious 16 makuti-covered tents each consist of a main bedroom (with wooden floors), permanent en suite bathroom (hot running water, stone floors, shower and flush toilet) and spacious veranda. A family tent consisting of 2 large en suite bedrooms, a spacious private seating and dining area, has superb views of Mt Kilimanjaro. The Tortilis Private House comprises 1 en suite double bedroom, 1 en suite twin bedroom, and a spacious sitting / dining room with veranda. |

The camp has a daily set menu with fresh home grown salads and vegetables served at every meal, and caters to special diets.
Game drives, walks, sundowners and bush meals take place both inside the park, and within a private 30,000 acre game concession.
