Carefully positioned to bring you as close as possible to the magnificent natural spectacle of the Great Migration, the two Serengeti Under Canvas mobile camps are situated at a variety of private campsites throughout the national park and move according to the path of the migratory herds.
8 Bedouin style tents nestled at each private campsite are equipped with en suite bathrooms and al fresco bucket showers. The simplicity of camping, with no mains electricity and running water, is softened by convenient touches like a flush w.c, power outlets in the vehicles and a personal butler.
Twice daily game drives explore the endless plains of the Serengeti on early morning and late afternoon / evening in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Should you prefer, the two daily game drives can combine as one longer outing with a picnic lunch included.
At extra cost ballooning safaris may be available, depending on whether the camps are currently within reach of the launch site. Floating silently over the landscape viewing game from this elevated vantage points adds a fresh dimension to the traditional safari experience.
As the campsites are unfenced, you are required to please be vigilant at all times and not wander through the camp at night without being escorted by a guard.
Children 12 years and over are most welcome.
Flights operate to the current location of the Serengeti Under Canvas camps where a vehicle from the camp will collect you with the added advantage of a game drive en route to the campsite.
