Sabuk, which is remote and on the edge of the Northern Laikipia Plateau, is perched on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, which cascades beneath the lodge all year round. This camp offers wilderness and views of the Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya, as well as the Karisa Hills and Mathews Mountains in the North.
Accommodation is offered in 6 cottages, as well as the Eagle cottage comprising 2 en suite cottages. This family unit has its own “mess” and plunge pool.
The main mess area has a wooden deck overlooking the scenery and the Ewaso Nyiro river. There is also an infinity pool and separate paddling pool.
Weddings are catered for in a church on the hill with a view.
Activities include: guided nature walks; game drives by 4-wheel vehicles; camel safaris and full / half day excursions; fly camping; bush breakfasts and picnic lunches on the river banks; hilltop sundowners; line fishing; river swimming, tubing the rapids & rocks jumping (seasonal); horse riding.
