Royal Malewane

Picture

Country:  South Africa

Location: Kruger National Park

Style: Luxury Lodge

Royal Malewane, an exclusive luxury safari lodge, is situated on a private reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The lodge hosts a maximum of 20 guests in 6 suites offering complete seclusion and stunning views.

2 completely private suites (both sleeping 4) provide an African safari experience, while the self-contained Africa House, a few minutes’ drive from the main lodge, is the perfect option for families or groups of up to 12.

There is an airconditioned library, curio shop, as well as dining and sitting areas which overlook the waterhole, often resulting in some spectacular mealtime game viewing.

While dining in the boma under a canopy of stars, you are serenaded by frogs and crickets and entertained by traditional singing and dancing.

Dinner in the Bedouin tent bedecked with Moroccan lanterns is equally special, as braziers blaze high and a wonderful selection of delectable dishes are served.

In addition to the 2 daily game drives you have the option of relaxing or exercising at the spa in the lap pool or well-equipped gym.

If you feel like venturing further afield, the reservations team can arrange the following at additional cost: a visit to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre where animals and birds can be viewed up close as they are nursed back to health; view unusual species at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre; helicopter flights; hot air balloon flights; canyon cruises; horse riding safaris.

For the golf enthusiast there is the exclusive Leopard Creek Championship Golf Estate amidst bush dwellers such as giraffe, impala and hippo. Expertly designed, the course borders the Crocodile River and offers a great challenge to all golfers.

Royal Malewane provides a stunning venue for bush weddings in a splendid colonial style with the vast, wild backdrop of the bushveld.
