Country: Malawi Location: Lake Malawi Style: Luxury Lodge Pumulani is an exclusive lodge located at the southern end of Lake Malawi, and subtly nestles in the lush hills amongst the trees and craggy outcrops.
The 10 villas, with their grass roofs to reflect the heat, are individually designed to adapt to their own unique location ensuring they blend harmoniously into their different surroundings. Each villa has a spacious lounge area, a large bedroom which opens out onto a private deck, and a well-equipped bathroom including a bathtub, double shower and double sink. The central area consists of an expansive open restaurant with an undercover area, bar and a cosy fire. The infinity swimming pool is positioned on a lower terraced deck. Raised walkways with steps lead off from the central area to the villas and down to the beach. Pumulani offers a range of activities from the infinity pool or down at the beach to waterskiing or wakeboarding. When the day starts to draw to a close you can enjoy a sail out in the dhow for sundowners in the middle of the lake, and after dark take a closer look at the magic of the night sky through the stargazer. Other sports to enjoy are sailing, cycling, kayaking, walks in the hills, as well as snorkelling and diving where you are able to discover the amazing diversity of fishlife. Village tours are conducted introducing guests to the local traditions and rituals. |

Pumulani is the ideal retreat for families, where children of all ages are most welcome. Special child care is provided, as well a host of supervised activities to keep them occupied. The family villa has been specifically designed and positioned under the hillside on the lake shore with safety being paramount.
