Porini Lion Camp
Take a look at an excellent 360 degree virtual tour of Porini Lion Camp.
Porini Lion Camp is located in the 20,000 acre Olare Orok Conservancy which borders the Masai Mara Game Reserve and is home to an abundance of animals including the big cats for which the Mara is famous. It is the ideal base from which to experience the million strong wildebeest migration. This eco-friendly camp has no permanent structure and is situated along the Ntiakatiak River, a seasonal river with hippo pools nearby. There are 10 spacious tents all having an en suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower. A private veranda runs along the length of each tent, providing a secluded and private ‘space’ for you to relax and enjoy the beauty of this African wilderness. Day and night game drives in custom built open-sided 4x4’s are accompanied by qualified safari guides. In the evenings you are served sundowners at a scenic spot while enjoying the beauty of an African sunset. Masai warriors escort guests on a walk in the conservancy where they can learn about the various fauna and flora and how the community’s way of life is intertwined with its surroundings. |
