The camp is located less than 18 kms from the Masai Mara Park boundary and is unfenced, and completely in the wild. The camp’s neighbours are visiting warthogs, grazing zebras and topis, and carefree giraffes!
The Camp has 8 guest tents, (5 doubles and 3 singles) sited in the newest part of the conservancy. The tents are spacious and each has an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower. With no more than 16 guests in camp, you get the experience of real camping in the bush in an exclusive private wilderness but with all the comforts.
Food is excellent with home baked bread, fresh salads and delicious meals prepared by the camp Chef.
The Ol Kinyei Conservancy and Porini Bush Camp offer an authentic, high quality, low tourism density safari experience working on the model 700 acres of wilderness for every tent. Qualified safari guides enhance the experience by educating you about the flora, fauna and people of the surrounding areas. You will be taken on day and night game drives in 4x4 game drive vehicles. In the evening, you will enjoy a drink at a scenic spot while watching the sun go down.
A night game drive takes you back to camp, giving an opportunity to see many of the elusive nocturnal animals.
Masai warriors will escort you on a walk in the conservancy where you can learn about how the various indigenous animals and plants are used by the community and how their way of life is intertwoven with their surroundings.
