Perched high on a rocky cliffside, Rock Lodge offers panoramic views over the spectacular landscape. The waterhole below draws wildlife from the deep hollows of the valley. The white face of Leopard Rock lies directly across from the lodge.
6 suites carved into the rocky hillside, each with a private viewing deck and plunge pool on the very edge of the breathtaking precipice, offer you complete seclusion. 3 of the suites come with al fresco showers deeply sheltered in the leafy growth which allows you the sense of bathing in a private waterfall.
Abundant game, such as the Big Five as well as other varieties including the elusive cheetah, can be viewed from an open air safari vehicle in the early morning and late afternoon / evening accompanied by an armed ranger and Zulu tracker.
Nature walks, excellent birdwatching, riverboat cruises and canoeing along the Mzinene River are also on offer. At an additional cost many other excursions are available such as coastal flights, snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, turtle viewing, horse riding, and cultural visits.
Visitors are requested to be vigilant at all times as the camp is unfenced, and are forbidden to wander through the grounds at night unless accompanied by a guard.
Regrettably no children are allowed.
Access to Rock Lodge is either by scheduled flights or road transfers.
