Set deep in the heart of a dry sand forest, the 16 airconditioned suites of Forest Lodge are raised on stilts where viewing decks and private verandas provide views of the natural and unique ecosystem. Despite floor to ceiling glass walls, the towering torchwood trees and fertile forest floor surrounding the suites ensure complete privacy.
Game viewing drives, in the early morning and late afternoon / evening are conducted by armed rangers and Zulu trackers in open air safari vehicles from which the Big 5 as well as the elusive cheetah.
Extra activities include nature walks, excellent birdwatching, riverboat cruises and canoeing along the Mzinene River. At an additional cost many other adventures are available such as coastal flights, snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, turtle viewing, horse riding, and cultural visits.
The lodge’s rim flow swimming pool entices you to a refreshing dip in the shade of the wooded canopy.
Mealtimes are enjoyed on the open air dining deck.
You are requested to please be vigilant at all times due to the camp being unfenced, and are not permitted to wander through the grounds at night unless escorted by a guard.
Access to Forest Lodge is either by scheduled flights or road transfers.
