Nkuringo Safari Lodge is located on the shores of Lake Mutanda overlooking the magnificent Virunga Volcanoes.
The lodge is built on two levels. The main lodge on the lower level is designed with a combination of local stone and hardwood structures. It is predominantly used during the day for early breakfasts and lunch buffets and also houses a lounge, bookshop and library.
The ‘top deck’ area, with the restaurant and bar, commands magnificent views of the Virunga Volcanoes and Lake Mutanda.
Positioned on the shores of the lake are 7 well sited self-contained tented rooms each with its own private veranda. These tents are constructed with a permanent stone bathroom at the rear and raised decking supporting the vast tent in front.
Activities at Nkuringo Safari Lodge include a sundowner cruise around the islands located on the lake, and a lake canoe safari.
A short distance from Nkuringo Safari Lodge you can visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is famous for its gorillas, but also hosts a diverse wildlife population including over 90 species of mammal and 300 bird species.
