Tenille and Ryan recently returned from their 13 Day Best of Kenya and Tanzania small group safari, and provided this great feedback!
We had a wonderful safari and saw some amazing animals. Everything about the tour was fantastic and we were really happy with our guides, accommodation and food (lots of food). Absolutely no complaints about any of the trip.
We did see an enormous number of zebra and wildebeest in the Serengeti, more so than anywhere else. It was quite surreal actually.
One of our group members spotted a leopard on the ground at Lake Nakuru in Kenya which was extremely lucky because it had two cubs with it. We watched it for a little while before it moved away with it's cubs, but we were just happy to have seen it at all because we almost drove straight past it. Then we saw one resting in a tree in the Serengeti. It had quite an audience.
I think the most amazing sights involved lions - we had a few come up to our truck and the trucks around us and lie down right beside our window. And we also saw a fight between two lionesses and a pack of hyenas over food. The hyenas ended up winning due to their numbers. Even though they were wild animals, they were also comfortable with the cars and not scared of them at all, which was great for us because they weren't afraid to walk very close to the vehicles and that meant excellent photos for us.
All in all, an unforgettable experience.
Thank you again for all of your help; it certainly took the stress out of organising that part of the trip. I'll be in touch if we decide to go again.
