The waters have joined!

Exciting news from northern Botswana is that the Selinda Spillway has once again joined the flood of the Okavango Delta with the waters of the Linyanti.

This means that everything is set for the exciting Selinda Canoe Trail to commence.  Departures for this start in April, and should run through to October.

It is remarkable how this area of Botswana has changed over the past few years.  With the Selinda Spillway and the Savuti Channel once again flowing after nearly 30 years of being dry, the entire region has been transformed.

In 2006 I was guiding camping safaris on which we camped right inside the Savuti Channel, which is now a flowing river entering the marsh.   Mother Nature will always amaze us!

Below is a photo by Beverly Joubert showing the greenery and waters of the Selinda.
