Ndutu Safari Lodge
Ndutu Safari Lodge is situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the southern Serengeti eco-system, and nestles unobtrusively under a canopy of acacias overlooking a soda lake, Lake Ndutu.
The lodge, consisting of 34 stone cottages that extend from the central, open-sided bar, lounge and dining room, is surrounded by indigenous trees and shrubs which encourage mammals and the prolific birdlife to venture close by. Each cottage has en suite facilities and a private veranda with vistas over Lake Ndutu. Thousands of storks flock to Lake Ndutu and every evening you can watch this dramatic spectacle of them arriving to spend the night there. Game drives explore the range of habitats which include swamps, woodlands, soda lakes and the Serengeti short grass plains all of which offer splendid photographic opportunities. A stroll through the woods with a ranger is another opportunity for you to interact with the natural environment.Ndutu Safari Lodge is situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the southern Serengeti eco-system, and nestles unobtrusively under a canopy of acacias overlooking a soda lake, Lake Ndutu. |
Herds of wildebeest converge on the plains during the rainy season, whereas game such as elephants, giraffes, impalas, and every kind of cat are more visible during the dry months when visiting waterholes and marshes.
