Nestled in a quiet corner on the northwest of the lake, Migunga tented camp is only 5 minutes from the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions.
Migunga consists of 19 semi-luxury permanent tents on raised platforms with attached bathrooms and private verandas. All the tents are discreetly placed around a central glade, offering you shade and privacy.
The timber and thatch main building incorporates the restaurant, bar and reading area.
Facilities include a swimming pool, children's playground, 2km nature trail, massage room, internet services and conference centre.
Night drives in open game viewing vehicles with knowledgeable guides offer you a chance to encounter nocturnal creatures not usually seen during the day, such as porcupines, bush babies, bush buck, hippos, mongoose, civets and a number of nocturnal birds.
Microlight flights over Lake Manyara across the Rift Valley vary in length from 20 minutes to an hour.
Mountain biking as well as guided village and forest walks are also available.
