Mara Sopa Lodge
Located on the slopes of Oloongams Hills, built in an ethnic design in the rich landscape of the Masai Mara, the Mara Sopa Lodge provides accommodation in 100 standard rooms, 12 suites and a special honeymoon suite.
The standard rooms are in 50 traditional round buildings with thatched roofs, each comprising 2 rooms with parquet floors and wooden paneled ceilings, an ornamental fire place, en suite bathroom with a shower, and a veranda. These rooms are furnished with 2 double beds, a mosquito net, chairs and a coffee table and dressing table and 2 safari chairs on the veranda. The 12 suites have a large living area, separate spacious bedrooms and en suite bathroom with a shower. 2 queen size beds with a mosquito net, dressing table, coffee table with comfortable chairs, a mini bar, and an ornamental fire place completing the decor. The emphasis in the public areas is on high ceilings with ethnic Masai decoration, and access to the swimming pool, gardens and veranda. This veranda is at times used for dining, especially during the warm weather or for large groups. The Jumbo bar is located in the lounge, a bar is situated in the pool area, and Ol Murani bar is located at the bottom of the building with a billiard table, television and a viewing deck. |

The lodge caters for weddings and other private functions as well as being equipped for corporate events. The meeting and event venue can accommodate 18 to 90 guests.
Activities related to the lodge include balloon safaris, game drives, walking safaris and guided nature walks, mountain climbing, and birdwatching. Cultural talks and a visit to a local village are also of interest. Sporting tastes are catered for with swimming and archery.
Lodge services offered include a laundry and babysitting.
There is a gift shop in the public area and foreign exchange is available.
Travelling to Mara Sopa Lodge by road will take approximately 5 hours; flying will take about 1 hour, and 30 mins drive to the lodge.
