Leadwood Lodge is nestled in the fork of the Sand and Mabrak Rivers in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which shares unfenced boundaries with the Kruger National Park.
Situated on a wooded bank of the Sand River, 4 suites offer private plunge pools, outdoor showers, elevated dining and sitting areas with views over the confluence of the Sand and Mabrak Rivers. Fireplaces offer warmth and comfort for those chilly evenings and underfloor heating is provided in the bathrooms.
With the 4 suites carefully distanced from each other, Leadwood is ideal for families or parties of friends who want to share their safari experiences without intruding on each other’s privacy.
Twice daily game drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon / evening in open 4x4 safari vehicles. You can also track wildlife in the company of an armed ranger and Shangaan tracker.
In between game drives leisurely interpretive bush walks within easy reach of each lodge are conducted by an armed ranger.
Meals are served in the open air dining room and in the evenings guests can enjoy dinners around a blazing fire in the boma.
