Lake Albert Safari Lodge
Lake Albert Safari Lodge is situated on the cliff shores of Lake Albert in the Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve.
The main lodge with pool and cottages is positioned on a cliff, 70m above Lake Albert with magnificent views of the Blue Congo Mountains across the lake. There are 12 double thatch cottages with private bathrooms, and a campground which has shared bathrooms/cooking & washing facilities. Meals include fresh fruits and vegetables supplied by local farmers and are served in the intimate dining room overlooking the pool and Lake Albert. An experience not to be missed is a “bush dinner.” Guests can dine at a select venue within the wildlife reserve where stars provide the ceiling and Uganda Kob as fellow diners! Families can enjoy various and excellent walking and cycling routes to suit their levels of fitness in the Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve and are assured of close and personal encounters with the varied wildlife and an unofficial count of up to 460 bird species. |

For those opting for self-guided walking and birding trails, bird and game lists are freely available.
However, at extra cost, a choice of the following activities are on offer: guided day / night game drives, guided bird watching and walks; horseback rides; fossil hunting and a fishing village tour.
Lake Albert Safari Lodge has become involved in a number of community projects for the purpose of conserving vegetation resources, generating revenues for the benefit of the nation and local communities, and restoring the wildlife populations such as Ugandan Kob, waterbuck, oribi, duiker, warthog, leopard, buffalo, black and white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees and the olive baboon.
