Kisima Ngeda

Picture

Country: Tanzania

Location: Lake Eyasi

Style: Luxury Tented Camp

Located on the shores of Lake Eyasi, Kisima Ngeda offers stunning views over the seasonal soda lake looking up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the one side and across to the Alipi escarpment on the other.

Accommodation is in 7 stylish and spacious tents with private verandahs overlooking the lake. The décor draws on elements from the surrounding landscape and incorporates elements of traditional Hadza culture.

The cosy lounge area is a perfect place for you to relax before dinner or with after dinner drinks.   You can also take a dip in the pool after a long day.

Freshly cooked meals are made with locally produced ingredients, including dairy products from the camp's own cows and vegetables grown by nearby farms.   Bottled water is served with every meal.

A melting pot of culture, Kisima Ngeda offers a variety of different experiences.   Here you can actually get out of the car — explore the trails around the lake, canoe along the shore, walk through nearby tribal villages, or just sit and enjoy the beautiful lake views, especially at sunset.

One can also venture into the bush with the nomadic, hunter-gatherer Hadza Bushmen.

During the dry season, typically from June to November, there have been times when the lake is so dry that you can drive completely across it.
