Located high on a ridge in The Sabi Sand Game Reserve which shares unfenced borders with the world renowned Kruger National Park, Kirkman’s Kamp overlooks the Sand River. The original homestead of Harry Kirkman has been restored in traditional 1920 colonial style.
Each of the 18 guest suites features an air conditioner, private veranda, fireplace and en suite bathroom with a free-standing bath.
Early morning and late afternoon / evening game drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle traverse the vast area of the Game Reserve. You can track the rich variety of wildlife in the company of an armed ranger and tracker.
In between game drives an armed ranger leads guests on a leisurely walk within easy reach of each lodge.
Specialist safaris are available at additional cost and subject to availability of a specialist ranger and tracker.
Spend your leisure hours by the pool admiring the bush landscape and enjoying wildlife sightings in the river valley.
Guests are served lunch on open air decks within sight of the river, and in the evening, dinner is arranged around a blazing fire in the boma.
