Kikoti Safari Camp (altitude of 4,338 feet) is located about 6 km to the east of Tarangire National Park.
Accommodation consists of 18 en suite thatched tented cottages elevated above the ground and built upon wooden stilts, with private verandahs. Simple and elegant, the rooms are built from natural materials in tune with their environment, and decorated in warm caramel and creams. The main lodge at Kikoti Safari Camp includes the lounge, bar, library, fire pit and dining area. Wildebeest, water buffalo, hyenas and zebra have been known to wander underneath the rooms, providing a close up wildlife experience. To ensure your safety you will be escorted to and from dinner each evening. Kikoti Camp looks west over the Silale Swamp which is one of the few sources of permanent water in the Tarangire ecosystem. Massive concentrations of wildlife migrate to these water sources during the dry season allowing for spectacular game viewing. The advantage of being located outside the park is that various activities are allowed that are not permitted within any of Tanzania's northern National Parks including night game drives and walking safaris. |
Other activities include picnic lunches, bush dinners, sundowners, hot air balloon safaris, cultural interactions with a local Masai village, and a visit to a local school.
