One of the special attractions of this programme is its exclusivity and flexibility.
The Kanana Mokoro Trail accommodates a maximum of 4 people in 2 twin-bedded dome tents. This makes it an ideal option for small groups of friends or family.
Every tent has a separate bucket shower and toilet facility, affording you the ‘true’ vintage African experience.
The camp includes the services of a professional guide, personal chef, waiter, housekeeper and dedicated mokoro guide.
The focus of this trail is to traverse the Okavango Delta in a mokoro. Your guide will pole you peacefully through one of the most remote areas of the Okavango Delta in search of the elusive sitatunga.
Guests will gain a detailed understanding of this diverse environment, which features some of the Okavango Delta’s true gems such as red lechwe (antelope), fish eagles, painted reed frogs, golden orb spiders and malachite kingfishers.
Walks can also be taken on small islands where Pel’s fishing owl is known to nest.
Fly or spin fishing is available throughout the year (except January and February), with excellent bream fishing from May to September and superb chances of landing tiger fish during September to mid-November.
The minimum age accommodated on the Kanana Mokoro Trail is 16 years.
