Jabulani, a family-owned and managed luxury safari lodge, is located within the private Kapama Game Reserve in close proximity to the Kruger National Park.
The lodge has only 6 suites accommodating 12 guests, while the exclusive Zindoga Villa is ideally suited for families, or guests who prefer a more private, luxury experience. Suites are tucked within the dense foliage along a dry river bed. Some features are massive stone tubs, outdoor glass-enclosed showers, fire-places with separate lounge area, and a private plunge pool. Each suite is also equipped with a mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, electric blankets, and Wi-Fi access. Comfort is ensured by the 24 hour temperature control and overhead ceiling fan. The Zindoga Villa is a 424sqm self-contained facility which can accommodate a maximum of 9 guests. Two individual suites are connected by a joint lounge and dining area. Each unit has a massive bedroom with bathroom en suite, an expansive wooden deck, and a private heated plunge pool. One of the suites also has an adjoining twin room with private bathroom, for 2 children sharing. The Zindoga Villa has wireless internet connectivity, and is serviced by its own dedicated team – including a ranger, private vehicle, chef and butler. Grass-pressed mud walls, stone floors and thatched roofs are but some of the natural features you may expect to find. Expansive windows allow for uninterrupted sunshine and views of the surrounding bush. |
The guest areas comprise an open-plan dining room and lounge merging with the wooden deck which lies in the shade of gigantic Leadwood trees. An impressive suspension bridge connects the living areas with the suites.
A bush gymnasium - an open-air fitness area which includes a sauna - provides the perfect backdrop for a workout.
The most notable feature of Jabulani is the herd of trained African elephants which were rescued by the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. Visitors can experience the extraordinary personal interaction with these mammoth animals on daily elephant-back safaris, or while watching them at play in the waterhole or casually browsing in their natural wild habitat near the stables.
Other activities include game drives in the Big 5 private Kapama Game Reserve, treatments in the outdoor Spa, and hot air balloon excursions over the reserve.
• Children from 6 years are welcome to stay at the Superior Suites.
• Children of all ages are welcome at the Zindoga Villa.
• Parents are responsible for the safety of their own children.
• Age limit of 6 years applies to game drives and elephant activities, but it is also at the discretion of the guide / Elephant Master.
• All children, under the age of sixteen, must be accompanied by a responsible adult during game drives, bush walks and elephant activities.
