Chobe Princess Safariboats
The 3 Chobe Princess Safariboats and the Ichingo Chobe River Lodge all operate from Impalila Island at the very tip of the Eastern Caprivi in Namibia, where the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers come together.
This unique geographic location makes it an ideal destination for those wanting to visit the Chobe or Victoria Falls region. The Chobe Princess Safariboats allow you the thrill of overnighting in some of the most scenic areas along the Chobe River. Two of the boats have 4 large twin cabins, and one of the boats has 5 cabins, the focal features being the large sliding window allowing you views of the ever changing landscapes. The cabins also have an en suite bathroom, each fitted with a modern shower, toilet and hand basin. On the entertainment deck you will have access to a spacious lounge and bar area where you can take time-out and simply enjoy the view. This deck also has a relaxed open-air dining area where guests can enjoy superb meals prepared by a chef in the full-size onboard kitchen. |
At the front of the entertainment deck, you can cool off in the plunge pool or simply soak up the African sun on deck chairs while enjoying refreshments and the outstanding scenery.
The rear of the entertainment deck allows easy access to the smaller tender boats that accompany the Chobe Princess Safariboats on all of their travels. These boats ensure that each guest has the freedom to partake in any excursions or activities that are best suited to their own personal needs.
Game viewing by boat into the Chobe National Park provides an ideal platform to view the abundant wildlife of the Chobe National Park.
Being on the river allows you to get closer to the large variety of game including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck and the shy Chobe bushbuck.
There is access to over 100 kilometers of rivers providing excellent fishing in what is undoubtedly the premier tiger fishing water in Africa.
Bird watching is a year-round pleasure with over 400 recorded species.
Guided walks are a must on Impalila Island as they will give you an insight into the life of local inhabitants, introduce you to the stark beauty of the area and amaze you with the enormity of the baobab trees.
You can even climb an ancient baobab tree from where you can see all 4 countries (Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe) - a truly one-of-a-kind event.
