Governors’ Private Camp is located on a private spot on the banks of the Mara River in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

8 large and luxurious tents are positioned on wooden platforms with extended verandas.   Private bathrooms have flush-toilets, bucket showers, basins and hot and cold running water.   Lighting is provided by gas and paraffin lamps.

You can take daily game excursions in custom built vehicles, dawn balloon safaris followed by a bush champagne breakfast and game viewing on return to camp (extra cost), daily game walks (morning with a champagne bush breakfast and afternoon with sundowners and canapés) with qualified guides in a  private concession area adjacent to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

There are also day excursions to Lake Victoria by light aircraft, plus an overnight stay at Mfangano Island Camp.   Bird watching, boat rides, walking and fishing as well as cultural visits are also on offer.

This camp is available for the exclusive use of individual groups with the minimum requirements being 4 guests for 3 nights.

Scheduled daily flights operate to and from Nairobi.   Road transfer between Nairobi and the camp is possible with the duration being approx. 6 hours  (depending upon road conditions).
