Hanglip Mountain Lodge is situated on the lower escarpment of the 22000 ha Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the malaria-free Waterberg region of Limpopo Province.
All the luxury suites, set in tranquil gardens, are furnished in African Baroque style and have private sun decks with breathtaking views across the wetlands and vast open plains.
This exclusive lodge comprises 10 luxury en suite thatched rooms including one honeymoon suite. There are also 2 standard rooms and 1 wheelchair friendly room.
In room facilities are a ceiling fan, hair-dryer, safe, tea/coffee station, guest amenities, mini bar and a fireplace in each lounge area.
A swimming pool and wellness centre are in the main guest area.
Some of the many activities from which guests can choose are horseback safaris, helicopter flights, paintball, abseiling and quad biking.
Diversity on the reserve is astounding, with more than 55 large mammal species, 300 flowers, 50 grasses, 140 trees, 380 birds and innumerable insects, reptiles and amphibians.
Game drives or walking safaris, undertaken by highly trained rangers, offer the privilege of up-close Big Five game viewing.
Some of the animals encountered are lions, brown hyena, black backed jackal, at least 15 different antelope species and even the secretive leopard.
Rhinoceros are common on the reserve, and share the grass of the open savanna with the nocturnally feeding hippopotamus.
