The multi-award winning Elsa's Kopje is named after Elsa the lioness, made famous by George and Joy Adamson's biographical book and film "Born Free". Its spectacular setting and location is ideal for viewing rhino in their natural habitat in Kenya.
Elsa's Kopje Camp is almost invisible to the eye as its home is on Mughwango Hill. Blending into the rocky crags of the "kopje" (small hill), it is built above the site of George Adamson's original campsite.
All 8 open-fronted cottages are shaped into the curves of Mughwango rock, overlooking the vast plains of Meru National Park. They are uniquely designed and crafted, with a main bedroom, en suite bathroom (some have outdoor baths), and a private deck.
Elsa's Private House, with 1 double room and 1 twin, both en suite, is a spacious and exclusive hideaway set slightly apart from the main lodge. A large private living and dining area leads outdoors into a private garden and swimming pool.
Elsa's Honeymoon Suite comprises a triple level room, with a sitting room, double bedroom with en suite bathroom, and a small private deck.
The main bar, lounge, dining room and an inviting infinity pool all enjoy vistas of the Meru plains.
