Elephant Plains Game Lodge
Elephant Plains Game Lodge, situated on the dry Manyeleti riverbed overlooking an open area with a watering hole, is in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve adjacent to the Kruger National Park, which offers excellent Big 5 game viewing.
This luxury lodge is owner run and accommodates a maximum of 24 guests in a range of options, varying from rondavels and luxury suites to The Manyeleti honeymoon suite. The main guest building contains a reception, dining areas, bar, lounge & wine cellar, as well as a small library and curio shop. Breakfast and lunch are served in the dining room or on the pool deck, overlooking the water hole. You can enjoy the mystical nocturnal sounds under the African sky while dining around a log fire in the boma. 2 daily game drives and a bush walk, which are accompanied by an experienced game ranger and local Shangaan tracker who share their extensive knowledge and love of the African bush, are bound to offer you an excellent chance of close encounters with not only the Big 5, but also with the more elusive wild dog and cheetah. Keen birdwatchers would be enthralled by more than 300 bird species resident in the area. Photographic safaris and workshops are offered over a 4 day period conducted by 2 professional photographers. The African Health Spa, which overlooks the water hole, affords you an opportunity to rest, relax and rejuvenate while spotting game at the same time. |
