10 Day Botswana Explorer Safari

Experience the abundant wildlife of the Okavango Delta, Moremi, Savuti, and Chobe on a luxury serviced camping safari at private exclusive campsites, with some walking and rugged conditions, ending in a luxury lodge near the spectacular Victoria Falls.

This safari travels with a maximum of 6 guests in 3 tents, in a specially customised 4x4 safari vehicle, and accompanied by an expert safari guide throughout.

Day 01        Arrive Okavango

Upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be met and assisted to your light aircraft flying to Nxabega Airstrip, where a safari vehicle will be waiting to take you to the campsite in a private concession area, bordering the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, with a complement of camp staff to cater for your needs.   You will spend 2 nights at your first campsite, fully inclusive.

Day 02        Okavango Delta

Today will be available for you to explore the crystal-clear channels, islands and waterways by mokoro (dug-out canoe), and enjoy game-viewing walks on the islands.

Day 03        Okavango ~ Khwai

A short flight in a light aircraft will take you to Khwai in the North Gate region of Moremi Wildlife Reserve, where you will spend 2 nights camping in the Reserve on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 04        Khwai

Your day in this area will mainly be spent on extensive and interpretive game-drives.

Day 05        Khwai ~ Savuti                              

A long game drive today (5 – 6 hours) takes you to Savuti, where the previously dry channel has been strongly flowing for the past few years.  You camp near the channel for 2 nights fully inclusive.

Day 06        Savuti                                

The now lush vegetation has attracted scores of elephant and buffalo, as well as a range of antelope and the accompanying predators.  Awake to the call of the fish eagle and spend the day on game viewing activities, marvelling at the hippos and crocodiles, as well as the magnificent lions the area is renowned for.

Day 07        Savuti ~ Chobe                                

From Savuti, you move up to northern Chobe (4 – 5 hours overland game drive), where you will camp for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis in the Serondela area, renowned for its large variety of bird and animal life, beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets.

Day 08        Chobe National Park                            

This is the heart of elephant country and you may spend many hours today on game drives or private boat cruises watching the huge herds in and around the waters of the Chobe River.

Day 09        Chobe ~ Victoria Falls                            

A short drive this morning will take you from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, where you can enjoy  The Elephant Camp for 1 night fully inclusive, after a tour of the Falls.  The Elephant Camp also offers close interaction with wildlife – in particular you will have an opportunity to meet the Wild Horizons elephants.

Day 10        Day of Departure

After a scrumptious breakfast at Elephant Camp, you will be taken to Victoria Falls International Airport by road for your departure flight.
