Blyde River Canyon Lodge

Picture

Country: South Africa

Location: Panorama Route

Style: Luxury Lodge

Blyde River Canyon Lodge, on the scenic Panorama Route, is situated in a Botanical Reserve between the majestic Drakensberg Mountains and the sparkling clear waters of the Blyde River, and a mere 40-minute drive to the Kruger National Park.

The water courses of the Blyde River are well populated with hippo and crocodiles, and the reserve is home to impala, wildebeest, zebra, bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, kudu and bushpig.

The en suite rooms and 1 luxury cottage all lead out onto lush tranquil gardens and include satellite television, and air conditioning.

A full buffet breakfast is served daily on the outside deck while you watch the zebra and wildebeest wander by.

Lunches and dinners may be arranged and enjoyed under the starlit sky or by firelight on those winter nights in the warm dining room.

Recreational activities include lazing at the swimming pool or taking a relaxing stroll to the Blyde River.

Some of the many activities available in the area are river rafting and tubing, boat trips, micro lighting, abseiling, hot air ballooning, quad bikes and dirt cars, elephant back safaris, and private game drives.
