8 Day 3 Country Wildlife & Waves Safari

This journey takes you to off-the-beaten-track regions for an adventure in a 4x4 vehicle, affording you a taste of wildlife, beaches and forests in Kruger National Park, the Mozambique Coast and Swaziland.

Day 01        Arrive Kruger National Park                                      

You will depart from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport this afternoon and proceed to your accommodation at Berg-en-Dal for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.   Game viewing starts on entering the Park.

Day 02        Kruger National Park

At sunrise you set off in search of lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard and other wildlife including birds and plants.   Breakfast will be served at a different rest camp before continuing on your safari.   In the afternoon you will visit the Jane Goodall Institute, Chimpanzee Eden, for a unique opportunity to see chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings.

Day 03        Kruger National Park ~ Mozambique                     

This morning you depart for Mozambique.   You will be given an orientation tour covering the historical and cultural background of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique.   After a scenic drive and lunch, you will take a ferry across Maputo Bay and continue on a 4x4 adventure to Tartaruga Maritima Tented Camp for 2 nights with bed and breakfast included.

Day 04        Mozambique               

Today you are free to engage in water or beach activities of your choice, of which there are many, or simply laze all day soaking up the sun at this remarkable beach resort.

Day 05        Mozambique ~ KwaZulu Natal          

During the morning after a visit to the local orphanage, you will set off to KwaZulu Natal in South Africa where you will visit Temba Elephant Park with its sand forests, pans and wetlands. This is home to the Big 5 and other game.   Elephants here are reputed to be the tallest in Africa.  You will spend 2 nights at Sand Forest Lodge on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 06        KwaZulu Natal

This morning you will be introduced to a traditional fish trap in Kosi Bay.   This is an ancient and sustainable method of catching fish which nowadays is adapted to minimise the impact on fish levels within this bay.   The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure.

Day 07        KwaZulu Natal ~ Swaziland

You depart early this morning travelling through scenic mountainous countryside to the ancient Ngwenya Mine for a guided tour.     Thereafter you will have an opportunity to experience the thrill of a canopy tour and crossing a 50m long suspension bridge over the Majolomba River in Malolotja Reserve.  You will arrive at Hawane Resort to spend 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 08        Day of Departure

After a leisurely breakfast you will make your way back into South Africa where your journey ends at midday with a drop off at Kruger Mpumulanga International Airport.
