11 Day Tanzania Luxury Photographic Adventure with Alistair MacDougall & Photo Organic
Travel Dates 21 June - 01 July 2018 

With this luxury photographic safari you can leave your wallets at home, but bring along your camera and sense of adventure.   Everything required has already been included, from tips to a scenic hot air balloon flight, all meals, drinks, and an enormous amount of activities.

International airfares into and out of Kilimanjaro International Airport and your Tanzanian visa are the only items not yet included.
 
You will learn photographic and Adobe Lightroom techniques while exploring some of Africa’s most pristine wilderness areas, staying in a mixture of luxury tented camps.
                                                                                 
The safari is limited to a maximum of 8 participants, and is suitable for participants of all levels of photographic experience while also being a safari which a non-photographing spouse or travel partner will thoroughly enjoy.

Day 01                                            Arrive in Arusha
You will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport (arrival flight not included in price) and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge to spend 1 night fully inclusive.

Day 02                                  Arusha ~ Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will be met by your private guide and driven in a private vehicle to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. After a picnic lunch you will head to the wilderness area to the north of Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend 2 nights at Lemala Ngorongoro on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 03                                        Ngorongoro Crater
A highlight awaits you this morning as you head to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend through the early morning mists to the crater floor. An amazingly diverse and abundant wildlife populates this ancient caldera, and you will spend six hours touring this varied habitat, with a picnic lunch at a hippo pool. This afternoon you head back out of the crater to your camp.

Day 04                   Ngorongoro Crater ~ Serengeti National Park
This morning your journey continues west and into the Serengeti National Park, where you will head to Kati Kati Tented Camp, game viewing on the way. You will spend 3 nights here on a fully inclusive basis. After settling in to the camp you will have a late afternoon game drive.

Day 05 & 06                           Serengeti National Park
​These 2 days will be spent exploring the central and western areas of the Serengeti, with the camp location being ideal to venture into the best areas to try and find the wildebeest migration.

Day 07                                    Serengeti National Park
You will head in to the northern part of the Serengeti this morning, alert for sightings of a variety of animals along the way. You arrive at Lemala Kuria Hills to spend 4 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 08 - 10                           Serengeti National Park
​These 3 days will be spent on morning and afternoon or full day game drives with a picnic lunch to find the leading herds of the migration herds which should hopefully be arriving in this northern Serengeti area at this time of the year. On one of the days you will have an early start as you go on a balloon flight to see the sun rise over the Serengeti Plains. After drifting for about an hour you will land at a spot in the wilds where a champagne breakfast awaits you.

Day 11                                        Day of Departure
​Following a morning game drive, you will be driven to the Kogatende Airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. At Kilimanjaro you will connect with your onward flight on your travel schedule (departure flight from Kilimanjaro not included in the price).
Alternatively, from Kogatende you can fly to other destinations to extend your safari to include gorilla trekking, the Masai Mara, or Zanzibar.
